What We Do

We specialise in three core subjects: maths, English, and science. These are the foundation of your child’s education and are essential for long-term academic success. We support students from Reception to Year 11, with tailored tuition to suit their age, ability and learning goals. In maths, we cover everything from early number work to algebra, fractions and GCSE-level problem-solving. In English, we support reading, writing, comprehension, grammar and vocabulary – all closely linked to the national curriculum. For science, we help students develop a solid understanding of Biology, Chemistry and Physics in line with their schoolwork and exams. Our tutors are qualified, experienced and DBS-checked, and every lesson is based on a personalised learning plan. Yes, we offer tuition for students aged 5 to 16, which includes both primary and secondary school support. For primary-aged children (Reception to Year 6), we focus on developing strong foundations in reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and number skills. We also help with KS1 and KS2 SATs preparation and build key skills for a smooth transition to secondary school. For secondary students (Years 7 to 11), we support learning across Key Stage 3 and GCSE, with a focus on subject mastery, revision techniques, and exam preparation. We also help students build confidence in subjects they may find challenging, making sure they don’t fall behind during those critical school years. Every student works on their own personalised learning plan, based on a free initial assessment. Whether your child is in Year 2 or Year 11, we tailor our tuition to help them feel more confident and capable in their learning.

Each tuition session takes place in a small group, with a maximum of four students per tutor. Despite the group setting, every student works on their own individual learning plan, so lessons are completely tailored to their needs. At the start of the session, the tutor will check in with each student and set specific tasks based on their plan. As the session progresses, the tutor moves between students, offering one-to-one help, checking understanding and answering questions. The atmosphere is calm and focused, and students are encouraged to work at their own pace without pressure. This small group format allows for plenty of individual attention, but also helps students stay motivated and engaged. Sessions typically last one hour and twenty minutes and cover key skills in maths, English or science, depending on your child’s needs. Every session is carefully structured to build confidence and make steady, lasting progress.

We believe communication with parents is a vital part of what we do. After your child’s free assessment, we’ll provide a clear picture of their current level and learning needs. From there, we create a personalised plan with specific goals. During each session, tutors monitor progress closely, making notes on what’s been achieved and what needs more work. We regularly review each child’s learning plan to make sure it stays relevant and challenging. Parents are kept in the loop through regular informal chats, written feedback, or scheduled updates – whichever works best for you. You’re always welcome to ask questions or check in with us at any time.
